InnoTrans 2016 presents
current Tunnel Technology

In less than a year, the who is who from the international railway industry will meet again from September 20 to 23, 2016, at the InnoTrans in Berlin. For many successful and ambitious companies from the industry participation at the fair is simply a must. They are able to present their achievements and products as well as contact existing and potential customers. The No. 1 fair for rail transport technology is also firmly anchored in the calendar for tunnellers.

Almost 139 000 trade visitors from 146 countries turned up for the 2014 InnoTrans at the fairgrounds under the Berlin Funkturm. From a total of 2761 exhibitors from 55 countries some 250 companies presented their activities and services in the Tunnelling segment.

Next year, the Tunnel Construction fair segment will again provide a platform for those marketing construction products, tunnel drilling and cleaning machines as well as communication, fire protection and safety technology.

The Brügger HTB GmbH from Switzerland will be a newcomer at the 2016 fair. Recently the company with many years of experience in cleaning tunnels received an exclusive special commission for the Gotthard Base Tunnel. “The tunnel cleaning sector represents an industrial branch providing us with a great potential. The InnoTrans affords the chance to exploit this opportunity to the hilt. This fair acts as an outstanding platform for the rail industry to develop business relations and introduce products to the market”, Beat Brügger, co-owner of the Brügger HTB GmbH asserts. The company will present a specially developed rail bed cleaning system at the 2016 InnoTrans.

Apart from Brügger, further exhibitors such as Herrenknecht, Talleres Zitrón, Pöyry and Niedax have already announced they will be taking part in the Tunnel Construction segment next year. These companies also benefit from the proximity and the themes presented at the Railway Infrastructure segment, practically next door. The two industrial branches essential for accomplishing underground transportation facilities will be set up side-by-side on the InnoTrans exhibition halls. This makes it easier for potential partners and suppliers as well as users of products and consulting services for tunnelling to establish direct contacts.
