InnoTrans is an ideal Forum
If you believe InnoTrans 2012 deals exclusively with trains and tracks you’re making a big mistake. Admittedly the international top fair for rail transport technology from September 18 to 21, 2012 will once again be the biggest showcase for the rail branch but the Tunnel Construction fair segment will again have an outstanding role to play at the exhibition. A special fair segment for companies from the field of tunnelling has in fact existed since 2006 and not simply from this year. Companies present their innovative products and services on the Berlin fairgrounds beneath the Radio Tower.
The Dräger Company will again be there this year in the Tunnel Construction segment. This internationally active firm produces safety technology, which is also used in tunnelling. Werner Ochse, Business Development Manager Mining & Utilities at Dräger: “the growing sphere of tunnelling at the InnoTrans is an ideal forum for us for presenting personal protection equipment as well as tunnel rescue suits and evacuation rooms”. Companies such as the Herrenknecht AG, Amberg Engineering AG, CFT compactfiltertechnic GmbH or the Systemair GmbH – to mention just a few – will present a wide range of products at the fair. As a result trade visitors to the InnoTrans will receive a comprehensive market insight of innovative tunnelling technology.
Tunnel Forum – an important Information Platform
The importance of tunnelling is further emphasised by the International Tunnel Forum staged by the Research Association for Underground Transportation Facilities (STUVA). Exhibitors, trade visitors and insiders from the branch can acquire additional knowledge at the event as an extra to attending the fair itself. As far as Dräger is concerned its close cooperation with the STUVA represents a major factor in deciding to take part in the fair. Werner Ochse: “The international alignment and the outstanding networking with the STUVA are important factors for us. As a result for the upcoming 2012 InnoTrans we are hoping for the usual highly-qualified public, important contacts and competent expert forums”.
Currently more than 95 % of the hall space occupied in 2010 has been taken. The organiser Messe Berlin is convinced that when the time comes the whole exhibition area in the exhibition halls will be taken. Details of the current level of reserved space, an exact description of the exhibition and all important novelties at the InnoTrans can be obtained from www.innotrans.de .
