InnoTrans 2014 – Tunnel Construction plays a major Role

Fairs are numbered among the most important marketing instruments for companies. This applies especially to international front-runners such as the InnoTrans in Berlin. With over 2,500 exhibitors from 49 countries and more than 120,000 trade visitors from all over the world, the previous international exhibition No. 1 represented an outstanding platform for consolidating business relations and introducing new products. The numerous exhibitors in the Tunnel Construction exhibition segment were also able to witness these developments.

The InnoTrans 2014 will once more be an optimal stage for those offering solutions involving building products, tunnel boring machines and communication technology for tunnelling. In this connection, the topic of fire protection is becoming ever more important. Companies such as AIK Flammadur Brandschutz, bst Brandschutztechnik Döpfl and Fogtec along with others will be displaying their products at the next InnoTrans from September 23 to 26. In addition, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fire protection and safety technology will present its latest solutions in the form of the Drägerwerk Company.

Werner Ochse, the Drägerwerk’s marketing manager explained the reasons for his company taking part as follows: “With our large range of gas measurement technology and breathing protection together with our oxygen self-rescuing equipment and evacuation and rescue facilities, the InnoTrans affords the ideal platform to get in touch with our customers” and went on to say: “The InnoTrans and the Tunnel Construction segment in particular play a special part – not simply as a producer of fire extinguishing and rescue trains”.

Under the Funkturm: Invaluable Business Contacts and Expertise

At the same time the exhibitors from the Tunnel Construction segment such as Herrenknecht, Valente or Talleres Zitrón – just to mention three – profit at the InnoTrans from the thematic and spatial proximity of the Railway Infrastructure segment. A further advantage of the event is the unique chance to communicate directly with potential business partners four days on the trot. Whether international infrastructure and transport companies, track technology manufacturers or political decision-makers – all relevant representatives of the branch are present.

Expertise is also assured by the STUVA again next year as a long-standing InnoTrans partner. The Research Association for Underground Transportation Facilities Inc. takes on the responsibility for the Tunnel Construction segment and its contents as well as the International Tunnel Forum, which is staged in conjunction with the InnoTrans Convention.
