Flexible Formwork System
for the Branich Tunnel
In summer 2016, the 1796 m long single-bore Branich Tunnel is due to open as part of the bypass for the small German town of Schriesheim, north of Heidelberg on the Bergstraße. About 1600 m are mined and 200 m built in cut and cover, with escape tunnels every 300 m. Out of the estimated cost of about 85 million euros for the overall bypass project, about 58 million is for the tunnel.
