Bosruck Tunnel: Repair of the sagged intermediate Slab
After the construction of the second bore completed in 2013 and the subsequent refurbishment of the more than 30 year old original tunnel, the Bosruck Tunnel on the A 9 Pyhrn Autobahn in Austria was completely opened for traffic in October 2015. As soon as November, however, a construction defect was detected: in the old tunnel, the intermediate slab had sagged. The necessary repair work to the tunnel started on 1 February 2016. Before this, a repair plan had to be produced from the start of the year and extensive preparatory activities had to be undertaken.
