Upgrading the Zentralbahn in Lucerne
Since November 12, 2012, the first trains have started using the Zentralbahn (zb) route in Lucerne after it was relocated deeper and provided with twin tracks. The conclusion of the construction work on this project was appropriately celebrated on November 3, 2012, at the new Lucerne Allmend/Messe Station in the presence of Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard, who chairs the Swiss Department for the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications.
