In Memorium Dr.-Ing. E.h. Siegmund Babendererde

It was with great sorrow that we learned of the death of our long-standing good friend Siegmund Babendererde. Born at Gielow near Malchin in Mecklenburg in 1927 he had to serve as a flak auxiliary between the age of 14 and 17 during World War II. Following completion of post-war A-levels in Lübeck, Siegmund Babendererde studied construction engineering in Stuttgart.

He started his professional career with Berger in Wiesbaden and the Tesch GmbH Company in Berlin. In 1969 he moved to the Hochtief AG initially in Frankfurt am Main. There in conjunction with the setting up of the urban railway he...
