Conferences Postponed or Cancelled Due to Coronavirus

The restrictions on public events due to the coronavirus have affected numerous conferences in the tunnelling sector, which have been cancelled or postponed.

The first to react were the organizers of the World Tunnel Congress 2020, which has been postponed to 11-17 September 2020. While the event “Innovation in Tunnels” in Maastricht and the 7th Munich Tunnelling Symposium had to be cancelled so far without an alternative date, the Christian Veder Colloquium in Graz and the Rock Mechanics and Tunnelling Day of WBI GmbH have been postponed to 2021. The Swiss Tunnel Congress 2020 at the KKL in Lucerne has also been cancelled at this time; instead of an alternative date, the Swiss Tunnelling Society plans to hold the lectures of this year‘s congress online on 3 June 2020.
