Marienhof in Munich: Level E-5 Steel Bracing and Compensation Grouting Trial Area

Construction of the Marienhof station continues at a fast pace. The construction of the diaphragm walls, primary supports and the roof deck had already been completed by the time the JV Marienhof was presented in tunnel 4/2022. The overall project was outlined in detail in tunnel 2/2023 and an overview of the status of the work was given in tunnel 5/2023. The following article deals with specific sections of Germany‘s deepest S-Bahn station in Munich.

Since the start of construction in September 2019, the excavation support with 54 m deep diaphragm walls, the 68 m deep primary supports for transferring the loads of the deck slabs during the construction period, the roof deck (level E0) and the various intermediate levels down to and including excavation level E-4 have been constructed. Work is currently (summer 2024) underway at level E-5 .
