High-Performance Hybrid Cable for Mining and Tunnelling
Specialist cable manufacturer Hradil has developed a new hybrid cable that is specially designed for demanding applications in mining and tunnelling. Areas of application include tunnel boring machines and heavy construction machinery. The cable combines several functions in one cable: it provides the power supply and simultaneously supports data transmission via Cat7 Ethernet, fibre optic cable (FO) and CAN bus. It also integrates pneumatic and hydraulic hoses.
The Hradil engineers developed the new high-performance CAN bus cable especially for the management of powerful diesel engines, where the focus is on fast data transmission and high transmission rates. With its specific characteristic impedance of 120 Ohm, the Hradil CAN bus offers optimum transmission with minimal reflections and signal losses.
