Powerful submersible Motor Pumps
to secure the Tunnel Drives

The pumped storage hydropower plant Obervermuntwerk II should be completed in 2018 to become one of the most ambitious power stations in Europe. The construction project in the Austrian state of Voralberg was started in 2014 and will become the second largest plant of the Vorarlberger Illwerke AG. This will not only support national and European climate aims; the intention of the project according to the operator is to provide additional regulating energy and the corresponding capacities for the acceptance of electricity for intermediate storage.
