Doha Metro: 30 km of Tunnels have been completed by mid-2015

On June 11 2015 Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail), the company overseeing the construction of the Qatar‘s integrated railway network, announced the successful breakthrough of one of its Doha Metro tunnel boring machines (TBM) at Msheireb station. The breakthrough was the first at this main metro station which will be the major interchange for the future Red, Green and Gold Metro Lines and thus serves as the central hub of Doha’s public transportation system.
